We are about to take off for our first backpacking trip of the season. Due to heavy snow fall this year, our planned hike in King's Canyon will have to be postponed. Instead, we are heading to the Trinity Alps, north of Mt. Shasta, to explore a few lower elevation meadows. Our plans are still a little shakey and may change if weather or snow levels aren't as advertised, but I guess that's part of the adventure. At least with out backpacking gear we can pretty much set up camp anywhere.
Hopefully I'll have some good stories for you early next week.
