Where to start

We spent this last weekend with my family in So. Cal. Saturday was a triple - party extravaganza. The day started with a baby shower for Button. The reality of Button's pending arrival is starting to sink in. There were several new moms at the shower and I got a glimpse of what is to come. Conversations on diaper rash, diapers and when to start solid foods were plentiful. We got some great stuff (car seat, pack n play, swing...). It was a challenge to get all of the new stuff to fit in the car and still have room for Lisa in the back seat (she carpooled with us down to So. Cal to do some wedding cake tasting). But we managed, mostly due to Lisa being a good sport about the whole thing.

Then there was a birthday party for Aleczander (I just can't believe it's been a year already!). There were a ton of people and a ton of presents! It will probably be 6 months before Aleczander has time to play with all of the his new toys! Aleczander thoroughly enjoyed his first-ever piece of cake (as you can see from the picture above). After Aleczander's party we went out to dinner to celebrate my sister Valerie's birthday. Needless to say it was a very full day.
