I'm done with research!!!

The major focus of my thesis was accepted for publication in the journal of Development! What a relief!! I'm really happy it's being published and Development is where I thought it belonged so I'm excited about that. But honestly, I'm am the most happy about the fact that I am officially done with experiments. No more lab! No more sorting and flipping flies! Tomorrow I dump all of my buffers, wash off my bench and hand over my fly stocks to Steve!

My dissertation is filed and both manuscripts have been accepted for publication so now I can relax, right? Okay, not quite. But at least I will have one less than demanding my attention!
