This was the view from our driveway Wednesday night. You can see the glow of the Big Sur fire. We're not threatened by it, but many homes in Big Sur have been lost and more are threatened. The fire has burned over 100 square miles and is only about 5% contained. It's real impact on our lives has been the air quality - so bad that ash actually coats our vehicles in the driveway.
